TYPE: Romantic Comedy THEME: Rival Love LOCALE: An American City
TIME: The Present STORY: The Finkleaum's and the O'Briens become
friends, and the daughter and son sweethearts. O'Brien and Finklebaum
enter into partnership to import a mysterious product from the Bahamas.
A rival for the love of the girl tips off the prohibition department,
and the fathers and young O'Brien who goes to warn them, are arrested.
They are all released when it is discovered that they were importina
molasses. Meanwhile the girl had been planning to marry the rival in
order to release her father. He i cheated out of his brid and disclosed
as a bootlegger.
HIGHLIGHTS: Scene in which comedian loses job... Meeting of young man
and young girl... Organization of partnership between O'Brien and
Finklebaum... Their arrest as bootleggers... Their release... Discovery
that rival is bootlegger... Reunion of girl and sweetheart.
