Tom Meighan, the star pitcher, stumbles onto a real estate deal, turns over several pieces of property and skyrockets to prosperity. Like many others who have had fortunes, Tom lets his slip through his fingers just like his famout, "out-drop."

But he "strikes out" bad luck -- makes a "home run" -- gets his money back -- and wins the game of love.
