EDITORIALS

ARE YOU A J. S. L. "LIFE-SAVER/"

Many members of the Junior Safety Legion are on the Life-Saving job in their neighborhoods, warning young children against playing in the streets, crossing in the middle of the block and other street hazards. In many cases we have knowledge of J. S. L. Life-Savers assisting young children across the street. That's just the spirit we wish to see and we know it must be a great source of satisfaction to every J. S. L. who is helping in this good work to know they are doing much to prevent an accident to some young child, besides the fact that they will receive a prize for their good work.

"The boy is the father to the man. A good boy now will make a good citizen later." Calvin Coolidge

CHICAGO BOY JOINS J. S. L.

Walter Lindheimer age twelve, a grandson of Jacob Lindheimer, Asst. Treasurer of Cook County, is the first Chicago member of the Junior Safety Legion. "Buddy," as the kids call him, thinks the J. S. L. is a great thing and has made a request for some pledge cards and buttons so that he may enlist other children in his neighborhood, in the J. S. L.
